Synopsis: Autumn, 1924. The Crawley's are invited to a shooting party by Lord Sinderby on a country estate he has rented, Brancaster Castle in Northumberland. While the family are away Violet has arranged a reunion for Prince Kuragin and Princess Irina. Lord Sinderby's butler, Stowell, proves very hostile towards the Downton staff and is particularly rude to Tom Branson. Daisy and Mrs Patmore try to help Denker out of culinary spot of bother. Lady Mary asks Barrow to get Stowell into trouble but it also proves to humiliate Lord Sinderby. Bates takes drastic action to save Anna. Molesley and Baxter turn detective to help Bates. Downton hosts a Christmas party and Tom takes the opportunity to make a speech.
